Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities
    • Manages all aspects of TAH messaging; maintains corporate pitch decks
    • Provide marketing insights utilizing Salesforce to ensure focus on key marketing initiatives to the sales and clinical support teams 
    • Promote and manage current product lines as well as next generation product lines being developed
    • Actively work with internal and external stakeholders to create and develop new marketing materials and initiatives
    • Social media internal expert
    • Support clinical sales strategy with clinical publication reviews and analytics in conjunction with the Sales Directors to support sales and clinical teams
  • Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities
    • Develops analysis around the competitive environment and clearly defines product positioning, key issues, strategies and target audiences for TAH
    • Serves as the leader of the Medical Advisory Board
    • Conducts product overviews for physicians and sales reps
    • Drives market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of tools to raise awareness of TAH
    • Builds strong relationships with KOL’s
    • Use Salesforce platform to identify mechanical circulatory support (MCS) market trends communicating with the Commercial Team of potential opportunities.
    • Deliver insights to sales and clinical support teams as well as internal stakeholders on market conditions like organ allocation policy, reimbursement and insurance.
    • Market Intelligence. Keep company informed of competitive  market activity and trends including adverse events and recall activity of competitors in the industry.
    • Participate in the preparation of regulatory and quality documents as it relates to marketing activities.
    • Leadership role on social media platforms.
    • Assist with creation of marketing materials for educational purposes, trade shows and social media platforms.
    • Analyze internal data, Salesforce and external data sources to assist with generating insights to improve patient outcomes.
    • Maintain a library of relevant clinical article reviews to assist the sales and clinical support teams with positioning SynCardia products in the MCS space.
    • Assisting with branding projects as assigned
    • Collaborate with sales and customers on refinement of the marketing messaging as needed 
    • Development of marketing tools as directed.
    • Manage external agency and vendor relationships and projects as assigned.
Responsibility and Authority Affecting Quality
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to the product, process and Quality System.
  • Identify and record potential problems relating to the product, process and Quality System.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Record and/or report all instances of customer feedback on product.

Position Requirements

  • Skills and abilities (required for the job)
    • Ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
    • Expert knowledge of custom research methodology.
    • Understanding of advanced statistical procedures, including reliability analysis, discreet choice modeling, non-parametric analysis, linear and non-linear models, categorical data and survival analysis techniques.
    • Proficient at vendor and stakeholder relationship management, and leading custom research initiatives to deliver strategic and tactical insights.
    • Strong strategic thinking and tactical delivery skills.
    • Effective presentation skills (verbal and writing) to all levels of organization.
    • Ability to collate clinical publications into useful tools for the commercial team.
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to take the lead and drive projects as assigned
    • Accountability to agreed timelines.
  • Education, experience and training (required for the job)
    • Undergraduate or Masters degree in relevant field (nursing, physician’s assistant, business, biomedical engineering).
    • Eight to ten years of Marketing experience or blend of Marketing and Sales with heavy clinical component
    • Academic and scientific writing experience desirable.
    • Good understanding of the Medical Device industry or related industries; Mechanical Circulatory Support experience preferred.
    • Marketing tool creation.
    • Experience as a Clinical Marketer.
    • Social media expertise.
  • Working environment
    • Special Factors in the Work Area:  
      • The working environment is indoors and is seasonally heated and cooled with minimal noise levels.  
      • The position requires considerable sitting, typing and the ability to move objects of less than 25 pounds.  
      • The position requires the ability to communicate in person, telephonically and via email.
      • Remote includes domestic and international travel.
