As one of our Staff Accountants you will be responsible for keeping Accounts Payable current and processing Employee Expense Reports. Processing Payables every Friday. Also, disseminating for appropriate coding and approval for all payables received, matching with necessary purchase orders, and entering into the system.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist Senior Accountant by entering new vendors into Expandable as needed.

· Assist the Financial Officer with end-of-month closing by preparing monthly accrual spreadsheets, and make journal entries.

· Prepare monthly prepaid expenses spreadsheets, bank account reconciliations and make journal entries.

· Run necessary reports to isolate any open purchase order discrepancies and to check expenses are accurately allocated to the appropriate accounts.

· Responsible for generating invoices for Sales Orders in Expandable, mailing invoices to customers, and filing invoices.

· Responsible for reviewing all center contracts and entering all necessary shipping, billing, and purchasing information for all centers into Expandable, and maintaining current information.

· Maintain and troubleshoot Expedia Corporate travel site for employee travel.

· Enter and modify employee accounts and policy settings as necessary.

· Become proficient with Expandable software.

· Keep up-to-date with Master Control changes and processes.

· Assist the Financial Officer with projects as necessary.

Position Requirements

  • General knowledge of accounting and accounting principles
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Receivable, as well as Expense Reports
  • Experience with, and skill in, personal computers and software applications; specifically, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A quick-learner Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, problem solver
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must possess a proficient ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English

Education, experience

  • Bachelor’s degree & 3 – 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a heavily regulated company
  • Advance Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Experience with Expandable and Master Control Preferred
