Aaron brings over 15 years of experience in medical devices research and development and product registration. After earning his degree in chemistry from Indiana State University, he spent two years doing academic research in analytical and geochemistry at the University of Arkansas.  He began his industry career supporting operations as a QA/QC laboratory manager for an asphalt plant in Indianapolis. After about a year, he left the road builders and began his work in medical devices. Starting as a contract employee, he worked his way into a full-time role with increasing responsibilities. After spending six years in Indianapolis learning quality and the medical device industry, he moved the family to Tucson to start a new life in regulatory affairs. From regulatory, Aaron moved back to quality supporting design quality assurance. He has a passion for risk management, product design, and regulatory compliance. Aaron has helped develop and register companion diagnostic reagents for cancer therapies, image analysis software to help pathologist read IHC slides, and hospital instrumentation and analyzers. Aaron joined SynCardia in April 2022, where he leads the quality and regulatory team as they support the company’s mission and its patients. He spends his free time with his wife, Natalie, his 2 dogs, and his cats. They enjoy exploring nature in their Jeep, and lounging around the pool with family and friends.
